High school student Edgar Perez and his family successfully navigated the “labyrinth” of attaining citizenship. Perez attended the event with a class from Excel High School.

Perez has become a legal U.S. citizen after crossing the border from Mexico. His family came to the U.S. where he said they have become “legalized citizens.”
