6-on-6 Basketball (from 2003)

This video, from 2003, aired on KCRG-TV.  It contains an interview with a member of the Montezuma Girls Championship basketball team in Iowa. She played in a reunion game at Montezuma High School.

Also interviewed are the former director of girls sports in Iowa and the woman who filed a lawsuit against the state.

She never got to play five-on-five, but her suit eventually helped bring about a change to five-on-five in 1993.

This is one of those videos which should have broken into several different videos to tell more of the stories. I shot this with Andrew “Buzz” Orr, who was a CR Gazette photographer. He hired me to help shoot and edit this project.
