Kao Kalia Yang was in Iowa City for a reading at Prairie Lights Bookstore. She sat down for an interview and talked about the inspiration for her book, Hmong language and culture, writing, and history.

Great interview, many thanks to her and much praise for her first book, The Latehomecomer: A Hmong Family Memoir.

Please check it out.
